Submit your artwork and enter to win $250 cash, a featured artist spot for our Earth Day event, social media highlight, plus your art presented on a t shirt! Read below for details.
1. Eligibility- this contest is open to all local artists ages 15+ who live within a three hour drive from Medicine Park, Oklahoma. Limit of two entries per artist.
2. Theme- “Caring for Creation”. Illustrate how you see humanity caring for our gifted earth.
3. Style & Media- paintings only using acrylic, watercolor, oil or gouache
4. Size- minimum 15x22, maximum 48x72 must be framed and ready to hang.
5. Validity- work must have been completed no more than one year from start of contest date. A a short (less than 3 minutes) video of you working on your project must be available upon request.
6. How to submit-email your resume, with artist statement and digital file of artwork to kelli.thehealthyhippie@gmail.com with “ART CONTEST” in the subject line.
7. DEADLINE- entries will be accepted anytime between Wednesday, February 28 with a strict deadline of midnight on Wednesday March 13, 2024
8. Contestant Load In- all approved contestants will need to bring their submissions to The Healthy Hippie Cafe on Thursday or Friday March 14-15 between 9-11am, or 3-5pm. Custom load in times will be considered for special circumstances.
9. Judging- Artwork will remain on our gallery walls through Tuesday April 23, 2024. A panel of judges include three local professional artists, one international professional artist, cafe owners and guests.
10. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, April 10 at 2pm via Facebook and Instagram.
11. Prizes-
Grand- $250 cash, social media highlight, Earth Day Meet & Greet the artist, image on THH t-shirt & networking with professional artists!
People’s Choice- CAFE goers will have the opportunity to submit their ballots via a QR code on the table. We will have two runner ups that will also get social media highlights, as well as a $25 CAFE gift card.
If selected as winner, a vectored image file must be presented to cafe owners by Friday April 12,2024 for printing purposes.
All artwork must be original – you cannot use third-party artwork or materials in your work – this means that you cannot use anything that was created by someone else (especially if it is trademarked or restricted by the original artist). The Healthy Hippie Cafe reserves full rights to use the artwork for promotional materials.
