Our Story…

The Healthy Hippie Cafe was founded in 2017 by Kelli Myatt. What  began as a passion project in Kelli’s own backyard grew into a popular,  metroplex-wide favorite for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Kelli began growing  fresh produce in the backyard of her home in the spring of 2015, both to satisfy her  love for gardening and provide fresh, local produce for her family. Soon after, public  demand started to grow as neighbors and friends requested batches of her  homemade hummus, salsa, produce, and protein bars. Kelli’s popularity in the  community persuaded her to begin selling her goods and produce at the Keller Farmer’s Market, where she built a steady, regular clientele. After just a few  successful months at the Farmer’s Market, Kelli decided to open a storefront where  she could more easily and regularly prepare and sell her homemade goods. Since its  opening in September of 2017, The Healthy Hippie Cafe has established itself as a  household name. With a social media following of over 6,000 in the Keller area  alone, The Healthy Hippie was the go-to spot for organic, plant-based  food.  

In June of 2020, the cafe expanded to double in size, including a full bar with Open Mic Nights, special events, and a larger kitchen for catering. The expansion was a great addition to our business, even in the midst of mask mandates, closures, and media hype. We plowed through many obstacles, and navigated different ways to conduct business & increase revenue. 

In August of 2021, after much consideration, the owners collectively decided that we would like to own our own building, and start over in a new location. The choice was made clear after searching for the perfect place to dive into the community, and share our mission. Medicine Park, Oklahoma is the perfect fit for us, and we are certain that we can, and will bring a new level of customer service, as well as diverse cuisine options.
